Many have fled to neighboring towns like Timika and Nabire for protection.
In Ilaga, Puncak Papua regency, many families have sought protection at the house of the Regent of Puncak Papua regency.
Civilian casualties are unknown at this stage as the Indonesian military continues to carry out major operations and airstrikes on heavily populated civilian areas. Let’s uphold West Papua in our prayers.
