40 Days Fasting Sorong-Samarai 21 June – 31 July 2022

We announce to the public across Melanesia that “40 Days Fasting for Sorong-Samarai” is happening right now, starting from today, 21 June, 2022 and will end on 31 July 2022.

There are two goals of this prayer and fasting,

  1. Asking for God to forgive Indonesia for they know not what they are doing to Melanesians in West Papua, and to Melanesian land of West Papua;
  2. Asking God to forgive all sins committed by Melanesians in West Papua and in New Guinea Island in the past and present, and asking for forgiveness for sins we ourselves have committed against God and His words.

This prayer and fasting is organised by “Esther Group of Papuan Women” in West Papua, headed by a Papuan Highland’s Member of Parliament based in Jakarta, who is dedicated to play her role as the “Esther of Melanesia” to change the policy of Indonesian governments towards West Papua and Melanesian peoples in western half of the Isle of New Guinea.

This prayer and fasting is also joined by the Papua Prayer of Reconciliation that works inside West Papua promoting prayer and fasting for reconciliation as well as West Papuan Army’s Special Operations Command that works across New Guinea Island to put down the devil’s strongholds and influences within Christian churches and members of congregations that blind all Melanesians and particularly those who live in New Guinea Island who become ignorant or do not know and do not know what to do with the devil’s works being demonstrated clearly and openly in West Papua, so that we can open our eyes and mouths and speak up the truth, so that we can wake up, stand up and speak up for the truth, defeat the fear and confusion.

We invite all Melanesian Christians in Melanesia, particularly from Sorong to Samarai, to pray and fast with us, to give us support, to pray for us, and to pray and fast with us, to defeat the hatred and unforgiveness spreading inside the hearts of Melanesian peoples, so that we are able to ask God to forgive Indonesia and Indonesian peoples, and then ask for God to forgive us ourselves, from our past and present sins, from our ancestral sins and our own sins.

Praise, Honour and Glory only to the Lord Jesus Christ, who have won the battle for us all, and said, “It is finished!”
